Die Casting Operator (FLM)
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor cold chamber die casting machines producing precision aluminum parts
- Makes necessary machine adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and surface quality
- Performs in-process quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Aids in die changes and routine machine maintenance
- Identifies and reports process or quality issues to the shift supervisor or quality team
- Adheres strictly to safety and ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16949 quality standards
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in die casting or metal manufacturing (automotive preferred)
- Familiarity with tight-tolerance casting processes and automotive part specs
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and quality documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a hot, industrial environment
- Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
