About the role

DaVita is looking for a Dialysis Tech (PCT) to serve our patients at our Dublin Dialysis Center in Dublin, OH. Paid Training Provided!

Responsibilities

  • Spend the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
  • In the morning, the opening PCT is coming in to get the water room ready and the bicarb for the patients. They are testing the water for chlorine, checking to make sure the tools are calibrated. There are a lot of duties in the morning.
  • Monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup.
  • Exposure to blood and needles.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, and use full range of body motions.
  • Ability to interact in person and by phone clearly and efficiently.
  • Use computer and all peripherals as needed to meet goals.

Requirements

  • Very dependable with an excellent work ethic, always open to learning, meticulous with charting, personable with patients, have a 'can-do' attitude, take on challenges without hesitance, are comfortable with a very early start time and long hours on your feet, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Comfortable working around blood and needles.
  • Comfortable mixing acid or bicarb.
  • Flexible and available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Physical and mental ability to work long hours (some shifts are 12+ hours) on your feet so wear comfortable shoes!
  • Willingness to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory as needed.
  • Health care experience preferred including: BONENT Certified, Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Phlebotomy certification.

  • Shifts can begin as early as 3:00 am and can vary based on patient needs.

Pay

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.

Schedule

Shifts can begin as early as 3:00 am and can vary based on patient needs. Your expected shift will be shared during the interview process.
