Responsibilities

Under the direction of a licensed nurse, Dialysis Technicians contribute to the care of patients in accordance with the standards of care, CMS regulations and health system policies by monitoring patients during treatment. Responsibilities include:

• Setting up patients and equipment
• Monitoring vitals throughout treatment
• Completing treatment

Requirements

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preferred: CNA, phlebotomy or other medical experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valuable time management skills
• Strong critical thinking/problem solving skills
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment
• Basic computer skills

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Required: Must attain CHT or CCHT certification within 18 months of employment
