Dialysis Patient Care Technician

What you'll be doing
- Work directly with patients to provide safe, comfortable, and high-quality dialysis treatment.
- Gather patient stats before and after treatment.
- Initiate and terminate treatment.
- Monitor patients during treatment.
- Collect patient blood samples per physician orders.
Technician Duties
- Prepare machines for hemodialysis treatments.
- Clean and disinfect machines after treatment.
- Conduct machine safety checks and log results for quality control.
- Ensure all protocols and regulations are followed.
Safety and Quality
- Use appropriate safety measures, including personal protective equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and state/federal laws and regulations.
- Participate in all required staff meetings and continuing education offerings.
What we're looking for
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- A desire to work in healthcare and care for patients.
- Previous healthcare experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a CNA is a plus.
- Comfortable mixing acids and bicarbonate according to protocol.
- Ability to distinguish all primary colors.
Other Requirements
- Successful completion of USRC training program approved by the Medical Director, including demonstrated competency.
- CPR certification required within 90 days of hire or as required by the state.
- Patient Care Technician certification must be obtained through a state certification program or national commercially available certification program within 18 months of hire date and maintained in good standing thereafter.
