Dialysis Patient Care Technician
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following Satellite policies and procedures per state Scope of Practice, safely and efficiently. Serve as the first team member to meet and greet patients on the treatment floor, making them feel comfortable upon entry and throughout treatment. Advocate for patients while they are in the unit and effectively communicate pertinent information to other team members to deliver quality care. Approach work with a strong sense of purpose, high energy, and a goal‑oriented mindset; seek opportunities to improve the environment for patients and staff, and gain satisfaction from building relationships. Contribute to the mission of making life better for those with kidney disease and the vision of unsurpassed individualized experience, quality, and compassion. You will gain relationships with a multidisciplinary team, develop servant‑leadership skills, set the tone for holistic patient care, and have formal and informal opportunities for professional growth.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent
- Six (6) months of active hemodialysis patient care experience as a certified hemodialysis technician
- BONENT (CHT)/NNCC (CCHT)/NNCO (CCNT) certification (per state regulations)
- California Department of Public Health CHT certification (required only for CA locations)
- Current CPR certification
