Dialysis Patient Care Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following Satellite policies and procedures per state Scope of Practice, safely and efficiently.
• Be the first team member to meet and greet patients on the treatment floor.
• Make patients feel comfortable upon entry and throughout treatment.
• Advocate for patients while they are at the unit and effectively communicate pertinent information to other team members to deliver quality care.
• Play a vital role in delivering the mission to make life better for those with kidney disease and the vision to be unsurpassed in individualized experience, quality, and compassion.
• Approach work with an indisputable sense of greater purpose.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, G.E.D. certificate, or equivalent.
• Six (6) months of active hemodialysis patient care experience as a certified hemodialysis technician.
• BONENT (CHT)/NNCC (CCHT)/NNCO (CCNT) certification (per state regulations).
• California Department of Public Health CHT certification (required only for CA locations).
• Current CPR certification.
