Dialysis Hospital Services Patient Care Tech (CCHT)

About the role

The Dialysis Hospital Services Patient Care Technician (CCHT) position is part of our Jackson Hospital Services. This role is full-time, four 10-hour shifts with Sundays off, and offers paid training, competitive pay, outstanding benefits, and a positive, mission-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Set up and break down dialysis blood systems for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform charge nurses of any concerns
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly
• Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have CCHT Certification
• At least 6 months dialysis experience required
• Previous Healthcare experience required
