Dialysis Hospital Services Patient Care Tech (CCHT)

About the role

The Dialysis Hospital Services Patient Care Technician (CCHT) position is part of our Jackson Hospital Services. This role supports hospital staff throughout the dialysis treatment process to deliver prescribed treatments. The PCTs are integral members of the interdisciplinary team ensuring safe care and high-quality outcomes for every patient.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in infection control, risk management, and patient education activities
• Guide new patients through a 120-day education plan
• Obtain and record patient vital signs and machine readings during treatment
• Set up and break down dialysis blood systems for treatment
• Insert and remove patient access needles
• Monitor patients during dialysis, document changes, and inform charge nurses of any concerns
• Calculate patient's weight loss to reach dry weight
• Determine patient care priorities and organize work load accordingly
• Maintain professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights
• Maintain and track inventory
• Perform laboratory work

Qualifications

• Ability to problem solve
• High school diploma or GED required
• CCHT Certification required
• At least 6 months dialysis experience required
• Previous Healthcare experience required

Pay

Pay range from $33-$38 per hour, depending on healthcare and dialysis experience

Schedule

• Full-time, three 12-hour shifts starting at 7am
• Sundays off
• No overnight shifts
