Dialysis Clinical Technician - Northwest Detroit Dialysis Lahser- 40 Hours/Week

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Dialysis Technician to join our team at Detroit Northwest Lahser Dialysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to work in patient care and a passion for helping individuals with kidney disease.

Responsibilities

• Perform dialysis treatments according to prescribed protocols and physician orders.
• Monitor patients during dialysis treatment, assessing vital signs and responding to any changes in condition.
• Set up and operate dialysis machines, including performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
• Administer medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by the physician.
• Educate patients and their families about dialysis procedures, dietary restrictions, and self-care techniques.
• Maintain accurate and complete medical records, including documenting treatment activities and patient progress.
• Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards in the dialysis unit.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a dialysis technician training program, and certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) within 18-months of employment.

Full-time position with operating hours for patients being 5:00 am - 8:00 pm and team members scheduled 4:30 am to 8:30 pm. Employee schedules are made through several shift designs.
