Diagnostic Radiology
Ridge Meadows Hospital’s Department of Medical Imaging is expanding to support a new MRI service and growth across existing modalities. Located in Maple Ridge—one of British Columbia’s fastest-growing communities—the hospital offers beautiful natural surroundings, diverse population, and easy access to downtown Vancouver. As part of the Fraser Health Authority, Ridge Meadows Hospital has 157 acute-care beds and handles over 43,000 Emergency Room visits annually.
About the role
Both locum and permanent full-time positions are available. Daily duties span radiography, fluoroscopy, general ultrasound, diagnostic breast imaging, musculoskeletal ultrasound, computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, and a variety of image-guided procedures.
The department operates state-of-the-art equipment, including two dedicated DR radiography units, a Toshiba fixed-fluoroscopy C-arm, a GE portable ultrasound, four GE clinical ultrasound units, a new GE 64-slice CT scanner, and a 1.5T GE MRI unit launched in Fall 2020. The site is also an early adopter of GE’s AIR Recon™ Deep Learning image reconstruction software.

Responsibilities
- Perform radiography, fluoroscopy, and general ultrasound
- Conduct diagnostic breast imaging and musculoskeletal ultrasound
- Operate computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging
- Perform a variety of image-guided procedures
Requirements
- Eligibility for licensure by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
- Comfort with general radiography, ultrasound, breast imaging, CT, MRI, and basic interventional procedures
- Fellowship in MRI or neuroimaging is an asset
Pay
Flat daily rate based on a group fee-for-service model.
Schedule
Time required and call responsibilities are negotiable and shared among group members.
