Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (MRI)

About the Role

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specializes in MRI procedures, ensuring optimal scheduling, patient safety, and high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities

• Schedule exams to maximize MRI scanner utilization while accommodating emergencies.
• Collaborate with radiologists to determine exam requirements, adjust technical factors, and provide additional sequences as needed.
• Assist radiologists during exams, monitor patient conditions, and anticipate needs.
• Administer contrast materials safely, including IV insertion, and respond promptly to adverse reactions.
• Maintain MRI and patient safety protocols by screening for metal objects, reducing RF exposure, and completing safety reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Certification in MRI procedures.
• Strong attention to safety protocols.
• Ability to work under stress.
• Physical capacity for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and patient transfers.
• Knowledge of contrast media, patient monitoring, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and rotating holidays.
