About the Role
The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist specializes in MRI procedures, ensuring optimal scheduling, patient safety, and high-quality imaging.
Responsibilities
- Schedule exams to maximize MRI scanner utilization while accommodating emergencies.
- Collaborate with radiologists to determine exam requirements, adjust technical factors, and provide additional sequences as needed.
- Assist radiologists during exams, monitor patient conditions, and anticipate needs.
- Administer contrast materials safely, including IV insertion, and respond promptly to adverse reactions.
- Maintain MRI and patient safety protocols by screening for metal objects, reducing RF exposure, and completing safety reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Certification in MRI procedures.
- Strong attention to safety protocols.
- Ability to work under stress.
- Physical capacity for heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and patient transfers.
- Knowledge of contrast media, patient monitoring, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and rotating holidays.
