The Marion VA Health Care System is seeking a full-time Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (DRT) - Computed Tomography (CT).

Independently performs routine and complex computed tomography (CT) procedures according to established protocol - in a safe and professional manner.
Performs as a diagnostic technologist in the performance and coordination of all diagnostic radiology examinations - within the Imaging Department - critical areas of the hospital and surgical suites.
Performs CT exams in a manner to optimize procedural scan times while maintaining flexibility for emergency cases.
Prepares contrast materials that are used in CT and diagnostic exams.
Cleans and inspects equipment to insure proper mechanical and electrical operation and promptly reports any deficiencies to the supervisor.
Practices radiation safety to reduce exposure to patients - staff - and self - utilizing lead aprons - lead gloves - lead shields - lead lined walls and collimation.
Stocks and inventory of CT and diagnostic supplies and related materials.
Performs additional duties as assigned.

Completion of a full-time training course of at least 24 months in duration (or the equivalent) in a post-high school diagnostic radiologic technology program - evidenced by a certificate or an associate degree - accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) or from [other accrediting agencies as recognized by the Department of Education (DOE)].
Advanced certification in computed tomography (CT) - magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - [or Mammography (M) duties performed independently - as applicable].
