Diagnostic Imaging Support Representative - full time, nights

About the role

The Diagnostic Imaging Support Representative at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital supports diagnostic imaging workflows and manages department logistics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily logistics including patient flow and supply inventory.
• Work within and monitor multiple computer applications to ensure patient care is timely and safe.
• Receive, direct, and expedite communication between providers, clinical areas, and customers.
• Identify and resolve barriers to patient care.
• Manage the distribution of images and ensure Reading Room needs are met.
• Coordinate patient care with providers and deliver customer service.
• Prepare and facilitate conferences.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma or GED.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computers.
• Two to three years’ related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education.
• One (1) year experience or certification in healthcare.
• One (1) year experience in customer service.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Full time (40 Hours per week), night shift from 11p-7a, every other weekend, 2 backup on-call weekday 4 hour shifts from 7p-11p, up to every 8th weekend rotation of backup on-call Saturday from 7am through Monday 7am, and up to 3-4 holiday rotations per year.
