IMAGING SPECIALIST (Full-Time Nights)

About the role

The Imaging Specialist – CT Tech at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing CT exams, operating CT equipment, maintaining records, and stocking supplies.

Responsibilities

• Manage physically aggressive patients
• Transport patients using patient mobilizers or wheelchairs
• Wear protective lead aprons and gloves during examinations
• Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Stock and organize supplies in the CT scanning area
• Render reports of imaging studies to referring physicians within 24 to 36 hours of completion

Requirements

• Formal AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology
• Previous, recent experience in radiologic technology, preferably in a hospital setting
• Certified in CPR
• Certified by the ARRT
• Licensed to practice radiologic technology in the state of Vermont

Qualifications

• Education: Formal AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology required
• Experience: Previous, recent experience in radiologic technology, preferably in a hospital setting required
• CT experience preferred

Skills

• Ability to manage physically aggressive patients
• Ability to transport patients on the patient mobilizer or in a wheelchair
• Ability to wear protective lead aprons and gloves during examinations
• Ability to work within a limited space and in bright and low lighted examination rooms
• Ability to see objects closely, hear normal sounds with some background noise
