Salary Range
Salary Range: $22.31 - $28.87 per hour. The pay range above represents the lowest possible rate for the position and the highest possible rate. Factors that may be used to determine where newly hired employees will be placed in the pay range include the employee specific skills and qualifications, relevant years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Most often, a newly hired employee will be placed below the midpoint of the range.
Position Overview
The Diagnostic Imaging Support Clerk III provides clerical support to physicians, technical staff and medical staff, ensuring the efficient delivery of diagnostic imaging services for patients. The Diagnostic Imaging Support Clerk III also serves as a mentor for other staff, and is proficient in all areas of support functions. This role involves registering and scheduling diagnostic imaging services, assisting with patient inquiries, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Two (2) years of experience in a Diagnostic Imaging setting
- Two (2) years of experience in scheduling general diagnostic imaging appointments
- In-depth knowledge of medical coverage plans including HMO, PPO, and state programs with registration experience and point of service collections
- Proficient with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish
- Prior authorization experience
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
