About the role

The Specialist-Diagnostic Imaging Support assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS).

Responsibilities

• Assists and directs patients while retrieving, organizing and inputting digital images and/or exam information into our Electronic Medical Records System (EMS).
• Interacts with many departments, office staff, physicians and patients.
• Extensive clerical, telephonic, and customer service skills required.

Requirements

• Coursework/Training: Basic medical terminology course, or completed within 6 months of hire.
• 1 year Clerical or Customer Service experience.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in the medical field or 1 year medical and/or clerical experience, or A successful completion of a Providence Internship.
• Coursework/Training: College courses in intermediate medical terminology and physical anatomy or knowledge obtained through work experience.
• Diagnostic Imaging experience.
• Electronic Medical Records System experience.
