Training Program Expectations

  • Attend all classes and clinical experiences as directed.
  • Successfully complete the 2-year course of education and graduate from the program.
  • The first year of the training program will be held in Anchorage.
  • The second year is in Bethel.
  • Completing the program will result in an Associate Degree.

Sponsorship

  • Your tuition will be paid.
  • You will get a set amount of money for living expenses.
  • You will be assisted with housing arrangements.

Expectations After Graduation

  • Successful completion of a preceptorship in Bethel at YKHC.
  • Employment by YKHC for 4 years.

Program Qualifications

  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • A High School Diploma or GED Recipient.
  • Able and willing to put forth the effort and commit to the time necessary to complete the program successfully, which may result in some family and social sacrifices.
  • Able and willing to commit to working for YKHC at the Sub-Regional Clinic for a time period of 4 years.
