DEX Site Mgr. - Advance

Position Summary

The successful Site Manager is a local operations leader who understands how their site supports the DEX business chain and converts DEX priorities into clear daily execution and measurable site results. The ideal candidate uses visual leadership, applies a go-to-gemba approach, and leads site-level change with inclusion, business discipline, and a global mindset. This leader builds trust, develops local talent, and delivers strong site-level results across safety, quality, delivery, cost, cash flow, people, and financial performance.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Leads daily operations at an assigned DEX Heavy Duty Parts site.
• Manage and support site supervisory staff including warehousing, inventory, shipping and receiving, dismantling, remanufacturing, renovation, and maintenance.
• Ensures products, components, and core processes are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company, customer, and quality standards.
• Converts DEX policies, network priorities, and operating expectations into clear site-level goals.
• Accountable for local execution and performance across safety, production, warehousing, quality, delivery, cost, cash, and people.
• Lead the local DEX site management team and site operations staff.
• Develop, implement, and enforce health, safety, environmental, OSHA, EPA, and company requirements across warehousing, production, and maintenance operations.
• Work with the site Production group to plan, organize, and execute site remanufacturing, renovation, dismantling, and maintenance programs to meet production targets, delivery schedules, and long-term operating plans.
• Convert DEX network strategy, policies, and expectations into site goals.
• Manage production resources, processes, and quality systems to improve delivery precision, reliability, cost, cash flow, and efficiency.
• Lead and report on site activities related to warehousing, scrap, inventory, overstock and disposition programs.
• Drive implementation and continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices and operational excellence initiatives.
• Establish performance metrics, communicate results, and implement corrective actions to improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, cash flow, and people outcomes.
• Manage site budgets, operating costs, facility maintenance budgets, waste reduction efforts, and cash flow to drive positive financial results.
• Support DEX business objectives through disciplined local execution, cost control, and reliable delivery.
• Support remanufacturing operations through effective core management, material flow, component recovery, scrap, recycling, and material disposal programs.
• Recruit, train, supervise, mentor, and develop site employees.
• Evaluate site performance, take decisive action on objectives, and ensure accountability throughout the organization.
• Prepare site-level reporting for DEX governance, business reviews, and corporate programs.
• Support landfill-free and recycling initiatives.
• Implement approved initiatives at the assigned site in alignment with Volvo Group values and DEX priorities.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, operations, accounting, or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 5 to 7 years of plant, shop, or site management experience in automotive, heavy equipment, commercial trucking, manufacturing, remanufacturing, or a related industrial environment required.
• 10+ years of experience within operations, manufacturing, remanufacturing, or related industrial environments preferred.
• 7+ years of management experience preferred.
• Experience in heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, manufacturing, automotive, aftermarket parts, salvage, remanufacturing, or component renovation/refurbishing preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading plant operations, management teams, organizational development, and operational transformation at the site level.

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, remanufacturing, component recovery, core management, production processes, and inventory control.
• Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicles, capital equipment, dismantling, renovation, remanufacturing, aftermarket parts, salvage, and component refurbishment.
• Experience applying lean manufacturing principles, the Volvo Production System, or comparable production systems.
• Strong understanding of quality systems, delivery precision, cost management, cash flow, operational performance metrics, and shop-floor execution.
• Ability to lead through visual management and a go-to-gemba leadership approach.
• Strong professional oral and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
• Demonstrated leadership, motivational, organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills.
• Collaborate across local, regional, and global teams to support assigned site performance.

Pay

Base pay is set at $111,100 - $137,200 annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible. Final salary offered is determined by several factors including geographic location, work-related knowledge, certifications, skills, education, experience, and internal equity of current team members.
