Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. U.S. citizenship is required. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This position is primarily onsite with some telecommuting allowed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 months relevant experience
  • Experience integrating containerized software applications in Kubernetes or another container runtime such as Docker Swarm
  • Skilled in development of bash and python scripts to automate installation, test, and monitoring of software components
  • Advanced troubleshooting techniques for isolation of software problems
  • Experience with integration testing for deploying and managing custom containerized applications and open-source tools and components

Responsibilities

The DevOps Integration Engineer - Submarine Combat Systems will be responsible for integration of software components into the Linux-based Common Computing Environment (CCE) PaaS. The candidate will also improve the software build process and set up/configuration of hardware/software test environments.

  • Integrate containerized software applications in Kubernetes or similar container runtime
  • Develop bash and python scripts to automate installation, testing, and monitoring
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to isolate software problems
  • Perform integration testing for containerized applications and open-source components

Skills

  • Experience with Ansible infrastructure-as-code (desired)
  • Experience with Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) (desired)
  • Red Hat System Administrator/Engineer certification (desired)
  • Strong understanding of software development process and engineering principles

Pay

Target salary range: USD $90,833.00/Yr. - USD $100,767.00/Yr.

Schedule

Flex on-site position at GDMS Ashton Avenue Manassas facility. 9/80 schedule available (every other Friday off).
