DevOps Engineer II - Remote
About The Role
Businessolver is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Linux System Administration, scripting, and Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Linux systems, automating deployment processes, and managing cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with project teams to deploy new solutions, optimize system performance, and develop innovative automation strategies. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of Linux systems administration and configuration experience
- Strong scripting skills, particularly in Python and Bash
- 2+ years of experience with AWS, including EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, IAM, and CloudWatch
- 2+ years of experience with code management and deployment tools such as GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Agile methodologies
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools like CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Ansible, or Puppet
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as AWS Fargate
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, innovative, and eager to stay current with industry trends
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support for applications and end-users, troubleshooting issues related to CICD pipelines, scripting, and cloud services
- Monitor system and application logs to verify automated process completion and identify issues
- Ongoing system performance tuning, infrastructure upgrades, and resource optimization
- Collaborate with project teams to document, plan, and deploy new projects and solutions
- Provision and configure hardware, peripherals, services, storage, and directories in accordance with standards and operational requirements
- Research, develop, and implement automated approaches for system administration tasks to improve efficiency
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to the organization’s knowledge base
- Promote the adoption of cloud technologies, best practices, and process improvements across broader teams
- Propose creative solutions to grow the business and enhance client satisfaction
