About The Role
Koniag IT Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced ICAM Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our team remotely. This critical role involves supporting Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions for our government customers, ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable deployment of enterprise ICAM platforms within federal cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevSecOps practices, with a proven track record of managing complex cloud-based security platforms such as Okta and SailPoint. This position requires an active Secret Security clearance and offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects supporting national security initiatives. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, including security, architecture, and platform engineering, to uphold federal security standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure automation
- At least 2+ years supporting enterprise ICAM platforms or security-focused cloud workloads in a federal or DoD environment
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Proficiency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Strong background in CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, including security scanning and compliance automation
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
- Understanding of cloud networking (VPCs, security groups, load balancers, DNS, API gateways)
- Familiarity with cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions (CloudWatch, Splunk, Azure Monitor)
- Hands-on experience with secrets management and cryptographic key handling (AWS Secrets Manager, Azure Key Vault)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, or JavaScript
- Experience supporting Okta and SailPoint platform deployment and configuration
- Knowledge of federal security standards including NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP, and DoD policies
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting ICAM platforms, leveraging infrastructure-as-code principles
- Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment, testing, and release of ICAM configurations and applications
- Support deployment and operational management of ICAM components such as Okta tenants and SailPoint cloud deployments
- Collaborate with architects and platform engineers to design secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures aligned with federal security requirements
- Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security scans, vulnerability assessments, and compliance checks into pipelines
- Develop automated testing frameworks to validate ICAM platform deployments and configurations
- Configure and manage cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to ensure system health and security visibility
- Manage cloud secrets, certificates, and cryptographic keys securely, adhering to best practices
- Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including backup, restore, and failover procedures
- Participate in change management processes, assessing the impact of proposed changes on ICAM cloud environments
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and operational procedures
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex infrastructure incidents, troubleshooting and resolving issues efficiently
- Evaluate emerging cloud and DevOps technologies for potential adoption to enhance ICAM operations
