Responsibilities
- Engineering and Operations (60%)
- Develop, deploy, and maintain platform components including DevOps pipelines, Kubernetes services, and various monitoring frameworks for platform health in Azure and Databricks
- Create and maintain templated GitHub project template repositories and custom CLIs, which simplify and standardize Kubernetes, Databricks, and Azure deployments for AI and Analytics teams
- Ensure high availability, performance, and observability of platform services through proactive monitoring and incident response
- Create/manage Terraform and Databricks DAB Infrastructure as Code repositories as needed
- Collaboration and Governance (30%)
- Partner with the internal team, IT, data science, and analytics engineering teams to support end-to-end solution delivery, including building and promoting DevOps pipelines, CLI and templated repositories, Kubernetes support and deployment, and provisioning infrastructure as needed (Databricks using Declarative Automation Bundles and Azure Resources in Terraform)
- Provide support and guidance across the SDLC, including CI/CD, release management, and environment promotion
- Innovation and Enablement (10%)
- Help evaluate emerging Azure and Databricks services and infrastructure for AI/ML capabilities to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Contribute to platform governance, including data ethics, compliance, and security and access best practices
- Mentor technical teams and promote architectural standards and reusable patterns
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in a combination of DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and/or Software Development roles
- Experience deploying infrastructure as code
- Experience deploying applications to and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure for application development teams
- Experience working with Azure resources in the context of resource provisioning, configuration, networking, monitoring, and maintenance
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies and platform usage transparency
- Experience with MLOps, DevOps, and SDLC practices in a regulated enterprise environment
- Experience creating GitHub Actions Workflows for code promotion across environments
- Knowledge of best practices in DevSecOps
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with data masking, synthetic data generation, and secure data provisioning
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, including model traceability, explainability, and bias mitigation
- Experience with orchestration and event-driven architecture
- Databricks and Terraform expertise
Benefits
The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $170,000 or the hourly equivalent. About the Role
This role is located in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is hybrid with 3-4 days onsite.
