DevOps Engineer

About the role

The Swift Group is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Herndon, VA. The ideal candidate will deploy and maintain multiple development teams' AWS infrastructure, utilize CloudFormation and Ansible for automation, manage scripts and templates in GitHub, assist with security controls, and monitor and maintain Jenkins pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain AWS infrastructure for multiple development teams
• Utilize CloudFormation and Ansible for automated deployment of infrastructure
• Manage scripts and templates in GitHub using Git for version control
• Aid in implementing security controls to ensure compliance
• Monitor servers and infrastructure for issues and set up Jenkins pipelines
• Set up and maintain Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Use Ansible for server automation
• Work with multiple teams in an Agile environment on two-week sprints

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant DevOps experience
• Experience managing Elastic Load Balancers (ELBs) and auto-scale groups with AWS EC2
• Experience setting up alarms, dashboards, and alerts with AWS CloudWatch
• Experience managing files and permissions in AWS S3
• Strong Linux troubleshooting skills
• Bash scripting experience
• Experience building Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation using YAML templates
• Strong knowledge of git and version control for IaC in GitHub
• Bachelor’s Degree or 5+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required

• Setting up API Gateway and AWS Lambda functions
• Experience with SQS and SNS
• Experience with setting up and managing Kubernetes infrastructure
• Experience working with multiple teams
• Experience working in an Agile work environment on two-week sprints
• AWS Certified

Pay

Pay Range: $49,996.80 - $290,004.00
