DevOps Engineer

Leidos Intel sector is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in custom code development and review activities to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards.
• Build, update, and troubleshoot GitLab CI/CD pipelines, including resolving errors and writing supporting scripts.
• Configure and support AWS services such as CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS, and serverless components including Lambda and API Gateway.
• Work with developers to support testing activities, validate functionality, and ensure smooth integration into production environments.
• Write and maintain Python scripts to automate tasks, streamline workflows, and support system operations.

Requirements

• BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience, or a Master’s with 2+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph post-hire.
• Active Security+ certification or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of starting the position.
• Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Understanding of custom code development and reviews.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures.
• Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow.
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of software development and sustainment practices.
• Experience with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with GitLab functionality, error codes, and scripting.
• Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g., CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS).
• Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, load balancing, autoscaling).
• Experience supporting development testing.
• Experience with Python scripting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Lambda and AWS ECS.
• AWS certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies.

Pay

Pay Range: $87,100.00 - $157,450.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
