DevOps Engineer (26-204)

The Work You’ll Do

• Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
• Collaborate with development teams to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
• Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using a variety of technologies including Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell.
• Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects.
• Track the impact of events/actions on the underlying infrastructure being managed, such as patching and maintenance.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 9 years of experience, or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 7 years of experience
• Active Top Secret Clearance required to start
• Active IAT Level II Certification (Security+ or equivalent) required to start, or willingness to get Sec+ within 90 days of start
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, RedHat Openstack, or Nutanix
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration
• Experience with a scripting language such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
• Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment
• Preferred: Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with Gitlab, Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, Experience implementing configuration management methodologies using Ansible, Prior experience with a Nutanix Hyperconverged on-prem cloud platform, Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory, Scrum Master experience is a plus

Pay

Salary Range: $120,000 – $163,000

About The Job

The DevOps Engineer will support the C2BMC program and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform. Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever SFB)
