Responsibilities
The DevOps Cloud Engineer supports the program’s Global team by designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform, with a focus on automation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
Design, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform
Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify automation and process improvement opportunities
Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell
Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects
Track and assess the impact of infrastructure changes such as patching and maintenance
Requirements
- Must obtain DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) within three months of starting
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible
- Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment
Qualifications
- Bachelors with 5+ or Master with 3+ Years of Experience
Skills
- DoD 8570/8140 Certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Virtualization Technologies (VMware, RedHat OpenStack, Nutanix)
- Linux and/or Windows Server System Administration
- Scripting Languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible)
- Scrum Team Experience in Agile Environment

Pay
Estimated Pay Range: $120,000 USD - $145,000 USD

Full Time/ On-Site at Schriever Base in Colorado Springs, CO
