About the role
You’ll support secure, mission-critical platforms in a federal environment as part of a small, agile design and development team. Collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, and government stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure application and platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for M&S applications and services
- Integrate automated testing, code quality checks, SAST or DAST tools, vulnerability scanning, and deployment controls
- Build and manage Docker and Kubernetes clusters supporting simulation platforms on AWS and hybrid environments
- Operate secure cloud environments using IaC, configuration as code, and automated security controls
- Produce SBOMs, scan findings, and pipeline documentation to support RMF and ATO compliance
- Implement observability frameworks for logging, metrics, and tracing and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Provide remediation guidance for findings triggered by automated code and container scanning
- Support platform deployment and readiness events that may require TDY travel
- Work closely with developers, security engineers, and PMO to standardize and modernize legacy delivery workflows
Requirements
- An active Secret level clearance or the ability to obtain one
- 4+ years of experience in a DevSecOps cloud role
- Strong Linux administration and Bash scripting skills
- Strong experience developing tools with Golang or Python asyncio
- In-depth experience designing CI/CD pipelines with rigorous security and testing stages
- Deep understanding and practical experience with the HTTP protocol and web servers
- Deep understanding of containerization and how containers work
- Experience working with CNCF landscape technologies
- Experience deploying Kubernetes workloads with IaC
- Experience deploying FedRAMP or DoD IL2 equivalent public cloud workloads with IaC
Pay
Salary range: $88,000 – $117,000. The final salary offered will be determined based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, internal equity, and organizational needs.
This role is also eligible for additional compensation, including performance-based bonuses, company-paid training and/or certifications, and referral bonuses.
