Device Technician
Support the installation and deployment of plasma collection devices across CSL Plasma centers. Serve as the onsite technical resource for device setup, testing, troubleshooting, and go-live support while ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Extensive travel required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, install, configure, and verify plasma collection devices.
- Perform operational testing, equipment qualification, and readiness checks.
- Troubleshoot installation-related issues and escalate as needed.
- Provide onsite support during implementation and stabilization.
- Coordinate with vendors, project teams, and center staff.
- Document installation activities, testing results, and technical issues.
- Support equipment logistics, inventory, shipping, and returns.
- Train staff on basic equipment operation and approved procedures.
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ year of experience in technical support, field service, medical devices, manufacturing, healthcare, or a related environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing technical equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation and records.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical training in biomedical equipment, electronics, mechanical systems, or healthcare technology.
- Experience with equipment installation, commissioning, validation, or startup activities.
- Experience in regulated industries (healthcare, medical device, pharma, biotech, manufacturing).
- Familiarity with SOPs, quality systems, and compliance requirements.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
