Developmental Services Manager
About the role
The Division Director administers and manages a division of three to four homes, facilitating comprehensive programming, services, and evaluations for assigned individuals. The role involves developing and implementing habilitative training programs tailored to individual needs and personal goals. The Division Director ensures the service delivery system is supported by professional and direct care personnel, procures necessary supplies and equipment, and maintains an environment conducive to growth and development. Responsibilities include budget management, personnel oversight, record maintenance, and building upkeep, all while adhering to the policies and objectives of Caswell Developmental Center and the Department of Health and Human Services.
This position requires coordinating 24-hour coverage, services, supports, and training through assigned staff, ensuring all tasks are completed with high quality and in compliance with laws, standards, and personnel policies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement habilitative training programs based on individual needs and goals.
- Facilitate the service delivery system to ensure programs are supported by professional and direct-care staff.
- Procure necessary supportive supplies, equipment, and services.
- Establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to growth and development.
- Manage division budget, personnel, records, and building maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with Center procedures, policies, and objectives.
- Coordinate 24-hour coverage, services, supports, and training utilizing assigned staff.
- Ensure all task assignments are completed with high quality and in compliance with laws and standards.
Qualifications
Candidates meet the minimum qualifications if they satisfy the education and experience requirements listed in the vacancy announcement. The following skills are preferred but not required:
- Knowledge of comprehensive programming for individuals with developmental disabilities, including secondary physical, psychological, and developmental deficits.
- Considerable knowledge of management and administration techniques as applied to state government.
- Skill in administering complex treatment programs and directing professional employees.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements
Physical effort is generally minimal, except during:
- Implementation of physical interventions required for the safety of clients and staff.
- Attendance at Center training for these interventions.
- Training staff on these procedures, which may be physically demanding.
Pay
Salary Range: $63,927.00 - $111,871.00
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (Flexible)
