Developmental Pediatrician, Department of Pediatrics
About the role
The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics (NDBP), within the University of Virginia and UVA Health Children's seeks candidates for a board-eligible/board-certified Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank. Salary and rank are dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical patient care
- Participate in quality improvement processes
- Teach responsibilities for the University of Virginia School of Medicine students and pediatric residents and developmental behavioral pediatric fellows
- Have clinical expertise in autism assessment
- Pursue clinical/translational research activities independently or in collaboration with active existing research programs
- Engage in advocacy initiatives
Requirements
Candidates must have a MD/DO and must be board-eligible or board-certified in developmental-behavioral pediatrics.

Skills
Strong clinical skills, excellent teaching abilities, and the ability to conduct research.
