About the role

The Department of Pediatrics at The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is seeking a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our established team in Las Vegas, NV.

This position will work closely with our collaborative team of physicians and with the Grant A Gift Autism Foundation, Nevada’s leading nonprofit clinic specializing in autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Grant A Gift Autism Foundation to develop and implement programs addressing autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, neuropsychologists, neurologists, child and adolescent psychiatrists, speech and occupational therapists, and ABA services.
• Contribute to innovative research opportunities and scholarly activities.
• Teach and mentor students and pediatric and psychiatry residents and fellows in a diverse clinical learning environment.
• Participate in the high-quality, innovative education and training of students and pediatric and psychiatry residents and fellows.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
• Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatrics.
• Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, Nevada pharmacy and DEA licenses, and malpractice insurance.
• Ability to obtain privileges at affiliated hospitals and other site locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an academic medical institution or equivalency.
• Research and scholarly activity.

Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
• Knowledge of developmental behavioral pediatrics.
• Ability to manage a caseload and provide comprehensive care.
