About the role
The Department of Pediatrics at The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV is seeking a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician to join our established team in Las Vegas, NV.
This position will work closely with our collaborative team of physicians and with the Grant A Gift Autism Foundation, Nevada’s leading nonprofit clinic specializing in autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Grant A Gift Autism Foundation to develop and implement programs addressing autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team of physicians, neuropsychologists, neurologists, child and adolescent psychiatrists, speech and occupational therapists, and ABA services.
- Contribute to innovative research opportunities and scholarly activities.
- Teach and mentor students and pediatric and psychiatry residents and fellows in a diverse clinical learning environment.
- Participate in the high-quality, innovative education and training of students and pediatric and psychiatry residents and fellows.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
- Board Eligible or Certified in Pediatrics.
- Eligible for an unrestricted Nevada medical license, Nevada pharmacy and DEA licenses, and malpractice insurance.
- Ability to obtain privileges at affiliated hospitals and other site locations as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in an academic medical institution or equivalency.
- Research and scholarly activity.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Knowledge of developmental behavioral pediatrics.
- Ability to manage a caseload and provide comprehensive care.
