About the role

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics in the Department of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as formal lecture opportunities within the department.
  • Performing developmental and behavioral assessments and providing follow-up care including pharmacologic treatment and brief behavioral interventions in an outpatient setting.
  • Developing collaborative and independent research programs related to developmental or behavioral aspects of pediatric care, the genetic or other etiologies of development and behavioral conditions, or the delivery of health services in the field.
  • Supervision of postdoctoral fellows, residents, students, and research staff.
  • Coordination of NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators.
  • Participation in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts.

Requirements

  • Expertise in the specific area of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and/or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
  • An M.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Board certification or board eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical practice and research relevant to developmental and behavioral pediatrics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and research methodologies.
