Assistant Professor Clinical Practice, Pediatric Developmental, Behavior, & Mental Health

Opportunity with the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) John Sealy School of Medicine in Galveston for a full-time Pediatric Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor.

About the Role

This full-time academic position combines clinical care, teaching, and research within a collaborative health system. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team to support UTMB’s clinical, educational, and research missions.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric outpatient psychological assessment and intervention services to children and families.
• Teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Develop a productive, funded research program.

Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an LCME or COCA-accredited medical school.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency.
• Board Certification in American Board of Professional Psychology.
• Ability to obtain an unrestricted State of Texas Physician License.
• Current U.S. DEA Practitioner registration.
• U.S. Citizenship or Employment Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Demonstrated commitment to patient care and medical education.
• Demonstrated clinical and/or basic science research productivity.
