Developmental Account Manager - Bellingham

About the role
Develop sales on existing and new industrial accounts within the I-5 corridor (Tacoma to Bellingham). Implement a business plan to increase account penetration, customer service, margin, and sales. Promote North Coast Electric’s and key vendors’ products through proactive marketing, training, and joint sales calls. Champion our Rockwell Automation portfolio and other offerings. Work closely with the industrial sales manager to identify, solicit, bid, and close opportunities. Manage all aspects of customer relationships, including internal teams and manufacturer reps. Collaborate with inside support staff to optimize service and maximize sales. Conduct weekly visits to relevant service centers to engage with branch managers on account strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a business plan to increase account penetration, customer service, margin, and sales.
- Promote North Coast Electric’s and key vendors’ products through proactive product marketing, training, and joint sales calls.
- Champion the Rockwell Automation portfolio and other offerings.
- Work closely with the industrial sales manager to identify, solicit, bid, and write opportunities.
- Retain and enhance relationships with customers, key players, internal teams, and manufacturer reps.
- Collaborate with inside support staff to optimize customer service and maximize account penetration and sales.
- Conduct weekly visits to North Coast Electric service centers to engage with branch managers on account strategy.
Requirements
- Completion of a Development Training Program.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of Solar/Eclipse.
- Strong organizational and planning skills.
- Self-motivated, outgoing, positive attitude, good communicator, team player, and professional in appearance.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours to meet customer needs.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Frequent computer and telephone use.
- Driving to customer offices and jobsites.
- Occasional out-of-town travel.
- Office and jobsite environments.
When travel is required outside of standard workdays and hours, your schedule and rate of pay may vary. Any offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion of pre-employment requirements, including background check, drug screening, credit check, and motor vehicle record review, as permitted by law.
Pay
This is an exempt position and not subject to overtime. Pay is $36,000 annually plus commission.
