Development Review Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a small team of Development Plan Reviewers by assigning projects, tracking performance, and supporting their growth
- Oversee comprehensive review of transportation and public infrastructure elements (i.e. water, wastewater, stormwater) for subdivisions, site plans, permits, special use requests, variances, and more
- Facilitate developer and stakeholder meetings, providing interpretations of Unified Development Ordinance and engineering construction standards
- Conduct technical analyses of engineering studies related to transportation and utilities
- Draft engineering reports, and represent the town at Town Board, Council and Committee meetings
- Resolve technical/financial issues and manage interdepartmental coordination
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, or related field
- 4+ years in municipal engineering or equivalent experience; experience with utilities, transportation, and/or stormwater design/review
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within one year
- Excellent technical, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficiency with GIS and engineering software (e.g., ESRI, BlueBeam)
