The Development Operations Analyst supports utility-scale renewable energy projects by coordinating workflows, maintaining project data and documentation, and tracking schedules, risks, milestones, and financial activities. This role works across Development and cross-functional teams to keep projects aligned, organized, and moving forward throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Track project KPIs, milestones, budgets, schedules, risks, and development deliverables; maintain accurate project data and reporting.
  • Identify project risks, deviations, and upcoming deadlines, and coordinate mitigation actions with project stakeholders.
  • Support project status reporting, portfolio reviews, leadership updates, and Investment Committee materials.
  • Coordinate contracts, approvals, signatures, and project documentation with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and other partners.
  • Maintain project budgets, track invoices and payments, monitor expenditures, and support forecasting and financial reviews.
  • Coordinate across Development, Finance, Legal, Procurement, Treasury, EPC, Engineering, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track permitting, land, interconnection, environmental, contractual, and other project requirements to support development readiness.
  • Maintain project systems, databases, dashboards, and reporting tools, leveraging AI and automation to improve workflows and data accuracy.
  • Support process improvement, workflow standardization, templates, special projects, and other strategic Development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Environmental Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, real estate development, or a related industry.
  • Strong project coordination, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP or similar project tracking systems.
  • Experience managing project documentation, budgets, contracts, workflows, and project controls.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy development, including land, permitting, interconnection, contracting, financing, and scheduling.
  • Experience with tools such as Smartsheet, DocuSign, and generative AI to support research, reporting, data management, and workflow automation.
  • Self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The anticipated starting salary for this role is $85,000 annual plus a competitive bonus structure. Actual pay will vary depending on job-related factors, such as the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
