About the role
Responsible for raising funds to support Open Learning by developing and implementing strategic plans to secure gifts and other revenues from foundations, corporations, and individual donors. Typically, gifts secured are in the upper six-figure to greater than $1M range. The role focuses on donors whose resources are associated with the artificial intelligence (AI) industry.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Open Learning and Institute resource development colleagues to create, develop, and execute donor relations and stewardship strategies.
- Identify prospects and arrange meetings with Open Learning leaders for cultivation and solicitation.
- Manage a personal portfolio of prospects and donors acquired through professional and personal networks, with a focus on foundations, corporations, and individuals connected to the AI industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of three years of experience working with corporate, individual, and philanthropic donors.
- Broad knowledge of the fundraising discipline and related areas.
Schedule
Hybrid role requiring in-person work on the MIT campus in Cambridge, MA, a minimum of two days a week when not traveling for business. Schedule is subject to change based on team or organizational needs.
