Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of gift prospects ($1,000+), and design and implement appropriate cultivation, solicitation and stewardship activities for each with an emphasis on face-to-face visits and tours of VOA programs sites.
- Prepare a comprehensive annual fundraising plan that includes strategies, goals, and a budget for major gift activities.
- Arrange for gift prospects to meet with the appropriate VOA Colorado leadership, programs and services leaders, and Board members.
- Monitor gift solicitation pipeline activity to achieve annual commitment goals, providing monthly and quarterly reports to Director of Major Gifts.
- Track and report moves-management activity using VOA Colorado’s CRM system (Salesforce).
- Develop and execute strategic cultivation and stewardship events as appropriate.
- Manage all giving stewardship related initiatives, including donor recognition/naming opportunities, and annual fundraising impact reports for donors.
- Develop giving materials, including briefing memos, proposals, and fundraising collateral, often in collaboration with the Marketing team.
- Utilize and leverage VOA Colorado fundraising events for donor cultivation and engagement, including strategic follow-up efforts and outreach with event attendees and sponsors.
- Solicit corporate sponsorships and underwriting as needed in support of VOA Colorado fundraising events.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience
- 3+ years of experience in a fundraising position.
- Strong writing, editing, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

- Must possess a Colorado’s driver’s license and state-mandated automobile insurance.
- Demonstrated proficiency with widely used business management software programs (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) as well as donor database programs); Salesforce experience preferred.
