The Friendship Center is the #1 community resource for addressing and preventing domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in Lewis and Clark, Broadwater and Jefferson Counties. We serve clients of all genders and backgrounds through free and confidential services including shelter, advocacy, education and outreach. Our mission is to be a safe haven for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking, while empowering every person in our community to flourish in relationships free from violence and intimidation. About the Role
This is a full-time, hourly position. The Development Manager manages and implements the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement activities in support of annual development goals. This position oversees donor database management, fundraising reporting and analysis, donor stewardship, and fundraising events; supervises development staff; coordinates grant writing activities; and collaborates with communications staff and organizational leaders on fundraising materials, donor engagement, cultivation, and solicitation. The Development Manager works across the organization to support effective fundraising practices and strengthen donor relationships.

Responsibilities
- Implement the annual development plan
- Use donor data and agency values to guide decisions
- Implement strategies to improve donor retention, acquisition, and engagement
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of donor data and fundraising records
- Oversee donor database management, including data entry, donor interactions, report preparation, analysis, donor segmentation, and donor prospecting
- Prioritize donor stewardship, including timely gift acknowledgements
- Plan and execute the annual fundraising luncheon and other fundraising and donor appreciation events
- Supervise and support the work of the Development Coordinator and the Stewardship and Volunteer Manager
- Manage contracted grant writer on development of grant proposals, reports, budgets, and other materials
- Work with Communications Specialist to produce written and digital donor communications, appeals, newsletters, annual reports, and other fundraising materials, ensuring fundraising communications accurately and respectfully communicate the organization’s mission and impact
- Manage executive director’s donor relationship assignments
- Collaborate with staff across the organization to support fundraising and donor engagement
- Other duties as assigned
Pay
$29–31.25/hour depending on experience
