Duties And Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with a focus on project cargo and over-dimensional freight services.
- Develop client-specific transport solutions for high-value and complex shipments.
- Conduct site visits, RFQ consultations, and scope evaluations for heavy lift and project logistics needs.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure execution aligns with customer requirements.
- Negotiate freight rates, project contracts, and service agreements for international and domestic shipments.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with EPCs, OEMs, and project owners.
- Maintain accurate pipeline tracking and reporting using CRM systems.
- Monitor market trends in project logistics and provide strategic input to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in freight forwarding sales, with direct involvement in project or over-dimensional freight.
- Experience working with EPC contractors or managing international project cargo is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of multimodal project logistics including flat-rack, breakbulk, RoRo, and barge movements.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, transport specs, and lifting plans.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills for high-stakes and multi-party contracts.
- Comfortable with international regulations including ITAR, EAR, and Incoterms.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing long and complex sales cycles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms (e.g., MS Dynamics).
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven success in project logistics or industrial freight forwarding sales.
- Familiarity with global infrastructure projects and site logistics planning.
- Certification or training in project cargo, heavy lift, or industrial packaging is a plus.
