About the role

The Development Management Associate will play a critical role in supporting the Development Management team in the successful delivery of new data center campuses from initial project stage through completion.

Responsibilities

  • Support the project management of project activities from initial stage through data center completion.
  • Facilitate cross-functional communications, meetings, and project activities to ensure successful data center development.
  • Coordinate multiple projects in various stages of the development continuum, ensuring assigned workflow is achieved and milestones are reached in a timely fashion.
  • Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration from project initiation, closing, and securing pre-construction entitlements and approvals.
  • Manage document control for important milestones throughout a project life cycle.
  • Prepare dashboards and presentations for the Senior Management Team and participate in executive presentations.
  • Build and publish recurring portfolio dashboards and the monthly executive reporting package.
  • Take meeting minutes, publish them promptly, and chase action items through to closure.

Collaborative Work Management Platform

  • Maintain project information in the collaborative work management platform, keeping it current and up to date.
  • Build and maintain project boards and the portfolio roll-up, including groups, status columns, item and subitem hierarchies, and connected boards with mirror columns so project data rolls up without re-keying.
  • Configure dependencies and timeline/Gantt views, including baselines and critical path, and keep them synchronized with the master schedule.
  • Build dashboards and widgets for portfolio-level reporting to project managers and executives.
  • Create and maintain intake forms for project requests, change requests, and RFIs, ensuring work enters the system consistently.
  • Set up automations and notifications for due dates, status changes, and approvals, and prune those that generate noise.
  • Govern board templates, permissions, and data hygiene across all projects; audit for stale items, missing owners, and blank required fields.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in real estate investment/development, site selection, or related real estate or investment experience.
  • Strong understanding of real estate, valuation, capital markets, and deal structuring.
  • Highly analytical, organized, and disciplined with proven time management skills.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently while being driven for success.
  • Excellent communication (listening, verbal, and written), attention to detail, and team skills.

Qualifications

Requires a 4-year degree; preference is for business, finance, real estate, economics, or a related field.
