Development Intern - Gainesville

Duties and Responsibilities

• Aiding with all aspects of special events and third-party events
• Data entry using Salesforce, Bidpal, and TeamRaiser
• Soliciting auction items
• Aiding with the logistics for all events
• Editing and updating marketing collateral for all events
• Maintaining event websites
• Researching potential donors
• Cultivating current donor relationships
• Prospecting and cold calling local organizations
• Marketing events through social media
• Donor recognition
• Maintaining files
• Updating calendar of events

Desired Qualifications

• Strong communication, organization, and writing skills
• A high energy level, professional appearance, and a "gogetter" attitude
• The ability to speak on the phone, make cold calls to local organizations, and maintain a personable and friendly demeanor
• An attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• A self-starter with drive and motivation and the ability to work independently with little supervision
• Sales and banquet-style event experience a plus

This is an in-person opportunity where you will be working together with our staff in a local coworking space.
