Description
Turtle Island Restoration Network (TIRN)'s mission is to mobilize people in local communities around the world to protect marine wildlife and the oceans and inland watersheds that sustain them. Our work is buoyed by thousands of supporters, interns, volunteers, and pro bono professionals, who help us extend our network around the globe. We accomplish our mission through grassroots empowerment, consumer action, strategic litigation, hands-on restoration, environmental education, and by promoting sustainable local, national and international marine policies.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify potential individual and foundation prospects for giving
- Aid in preparation and writing of foundation grant proposals and reports
- Research and develop fundraising partnerships with progressive companies
- Create visual materials including web pages, presentations, online brochures and promotional videos
- Help maintain TIRN’s donor databases as needed and assist with data processing, reporting, reconciliation with finance
- Assist with other development tasks as they arise
Qualifications
- Possess or be in pursuit of a four year degree in a related field or commensurate work related experience
- Excellent English-language writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrate maturity, diplomacy and tact
- Candidates must be ethical, helpful and thoughtful
- Proficient with Google Workspace
- Desire to learn, be flexible, productive and self-reliant, and contribute to building a positive team atmosphere
