Art21’s Development Intern will work closely with the development team on various projects related to the organization’s fundraising activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event planning and fundraising outreach
- Conduct donor and funder research
- Organize and maintain development databases
- Craft proposals and reports for individuals and foundations
- Support donor stewardship initiatives
Requirements
- Must hold an undergraduate degree by the start of the internship
- Strong writing and research skills
- Close attention to detail
- Organized, motivated, and self-directed
- Knowledge of contemporary art (preferred)
- Familiarity with Raiser’s Edge NXT or other CRM (preferred)
Skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication
- Excellent research skills
- Highly organized
- Ability to work with data for long periods of time
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Experience with Google Drive (Docs, Sheets, and Slides) or equivalent word processing software

Pay
$5,712 (disbursed in first and last weeks of the internship)
Schedule
- 14 weeks (starts week of September 7, 2026)
- 3 days per week
