Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc. (CMHA) is a private non-profit treatment provider headquartered in New Britain, with seven locations throughout the city and in Waterbury. We partner with clients and the community to promote recovery from mental illness and substance use, treating more than 7,500 adults and children each year. CMHA is Connecticut’s first fully Joint Commission accredited Behavioral Health Home and is a SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC). About the Role
The Development and Fundraising Manager will drive CMHA’s revenue growth by designing and executing strategies to secure funds from individuals, foundations, and corporations.
Responsibilities
- Donor cultivation, assistance with grant writing, event planning, and CRM management to meet annual fundraising goals.
- Research and write private grant applications in collaboration with the Grants Manager.
- Prepare grant reports for funders.
- Provide accurate, timely, high-quality internal and external communications (print and digital) to support agency strategic direction and development.
- Assist with planning and implementation of CMHA’s fundraising and external events.
- Help develop donor communications; track donations and run reports from donor database to manage donor information and solicitation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with private foundation, state, and federal grants.
- Excellent writing skills with attention to detail.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:30 PM.
Pay
Salary range for this position starts at $74,000. Compensation is determined by years of relevant experience, education, skills, and internal pay equity. CMHA also considers benefits and paid time-off in providing a competitive overall compensation package.
