Development Analyst / Associate – Eastern Region

About the role

Repsol is seeking either a Development Analyst or Associate to join our dynamic team and support the eastern region’s growing utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects across the eastern United States. This position is based in Downtown Houston with a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

• Assist project leads in managing a wide portfolio of solar, wind, and storage projects, focusing on achieving goals and defined target deadlines.
• Develop processes and tracking tools with key milestones, parameters, schedules, and cost forecasts.
• Create materials that support project development, including presentations, talking points, and market analysis.
• Assist with implementing permitting strategies, schedules, and agency and public outreach efforts to minimize project cost and risk.
• Create and/or manage internal tools for tracking development/construction efforts and coordinating internal resources and priorities.
• Assist with development efforts such as land agreement negotiations, processing, and permit preparation.
• Support due diligence on project acquisition opportunities as requested.
• Provide development support through engineering, procurement, construction, and financing as required.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work for any US employer without the need for work visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree a plus.
• Broad knowledge of Federal, state, regional, and local air, water, and conservation laws, rules, and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking skills, with a detail-oriented approach and strong sense of personal responsibility.
• Ability to manage a diverse workload, prioritize tasks, and effectively juggle competing deadlines while supporting team processes.
• Strong teamwork skills, prioritizing the fulfillment of team objectives.
• Willingness to travel as required (up to 25%).
• 0–4 years of work experience in a related industry (desired but not required).
