Support the transition of reporting and data extraction from legacy Mainframe IMS systems to a modern cloud/data-lake (Snowflake) environment. Bridge legacy systems with current cloud/data platforms while ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and availability for business intelligence (BI) needs.

Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer mainframe-based data extracts and reports.
  • Integrate legacy data into Snowflake.
  • Support analytics and reporting via Power BI.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather and document data/reporting requirements.
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT pipelines to Snowflake.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and architects for data modeling, schema design, and transformation logic.
  • Validate and reconcile data across Mainframe, Lonestar, Open Systems, and Snowflake.
  • Develop data conversion and system implementation plans.
  • Design and maintain database schemas.
  • Support and enhance Power BI datasets, semantic models, and dashboards.
  • Troubleshoot data pipeline issues from extraction to reporting.
  • Document technical processes, data flows, and system dependencies.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and production support.
  • Provide technical guidance for report and data pipeline development.

Requirements

  • 6+ years with Snowflake (SQL, data loading, transformations, performance tuning).
  • 6+ years with ETL/ELT concepts, data pipelines, and data integration.
  • 4+ years building and supporting Power BI reports and data models.
  • 4+ years gathering/documenting requirements for data/reporting solutions.
  • 5+ years analyzing data flows and troubleshooting across multiple systems.
  • 4+ years in enterprise information management, relational databases, and metadata management.
  • 2+ years in fast-paced environments, meeting deadlines, complex analysis, and issue resolution.
  • 2+ years strong interpersonal skills (negotiation, conflict resolution, stakeholder management).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years with data integration tools (Informatica, Matillion, Azure Data Factory, or similar).
  • Knowledge of laws/regulations for PII, data management, and data governance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Processing, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

Schedule

100% Remote / Work-from-Home.
