About the role
We are seeking an experienced Java Kafka Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building event-driven architectures, developing RESTful APIs, and implementing real-time data processing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Build and support event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
- Develop Kafka producers, consumers, topics, partitions, and consumer groups.
- Design and implement REST APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Work with distributed systems and real-time streaming platforms.
- Troubleshoot application and Kafka-related performance issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and participate in Agile development processes.
- Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Continuous Integration, Deployment & Monitoring of Software (100% error-free onboarding & implementation, throughput %, adherence to schedule/release plan).
- Quality & CSAT (On-Time Delivery, manage software, troubleshoot queries, customer experience, completion of assigned certifications for skill upgradation).
- MIS & Reporting (100% on-time MIS & report generation).
Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in full-stack Java enterprise development.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect, and Schema Registry.
- Expertise in RESTful Web Services (JAX-RS).
- Experience with Hibernate/JPA and SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong understanding of multithreading, collections, and JVM performance tuning.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Pay
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation will depend on various factors, including geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
