Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UI Developer to serve as the technical lead and primary front-end architect for our DocFinity Enterprise Content Management (ECM) platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead UI developer and technical owner for front-end application development initiatives.
• Architect, design, and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performing web applications using modern React.js.
• Lead the migration of legacy user interfaces to contemporary React-based frameworks and best practices.
• Establish and promote front-end development standards, coding guidelines, and architectural patterns.
• Drive technical decision-making related to UI/UX implementation, accessibility, testing, and performance optimization.
• Mentor and support developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive and accessible user interfaces.
• Build reusable UI components and front-end libraries to improve development efficiency and consistency.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate APIs and enterprise data sources.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, and usability across platforms and devices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.

User Experience & Product Ownership

• Partner with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and product teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Contribute to UX strategy, interface design, workflow optimization, and usability improvements.
• Participate in wireframing, prototyping, user research, and usability testing activities.
• Present demonstrations of completed features and enhancements to stakeholders.
• Advocate for user-centered design principles and accessibility compliance throughout development efforts.

Quality Assurance & DevOps

• Develop and maintain automated testing strategies and frameworks.
• Implement unit, integration, end-to-end, and visual regression testing practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Ensure software quality through testing, monitoring, performance analysis, and continuous improvement practices.

Accessibility & Compliance

• Ensure applications meet accessibility standards and comply with WCAG guidelines.
• Conduct accessibility reviews and remediation efforts as part of the development lifecycle.
• Promote inclusive design and accessibility best practices across the team.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in: Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or another related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience: Four (4) or more years of application development, systems testing, software engineering, or related experience; or two (2) years of directly related work experience plus an Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: Leading development efforts, mentoring team members, or driving a product/feature through the full SDLC; collaborating with business stakeholders and translating requirements into technical solutions.

Required Technical Skills

• Front-End Development: Expert knowledge of modern React.js and core concepts including: Functional components, Hooks, State management, Component architecture, Performance optimization; strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3; experience building responsive and accessible web applications; strong understanding of: WCAG standards, Accessibility testing methodologies, Inclusive design principles, ADA compliance considerations; automated Testing: Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks such as: Cypress, Jest, React Testing Library, Mocha, Chai, Karma, Argos-CI (or similar visual regression testing tools); Software Development Practices: Agile development methodologies; Source control using Git; Code reviews and software quality practices; CI/CD concepts and deployment processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• DevOps & Cloud Technologies: Experience with: Microsoft Azure, AWS, GitHub Actions, Docker, Gradle, CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Enterprise Software & Data Management: Experience developing enterprise-scale applications; working with large datasets and complex business workflows; experience writing and optimizing complex queries using: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database; Application performance tuning and optimization.
• UX/UI Design: Experience using wireframing and prototyping tools; knowledge of user research methodologies and usability testing; ability to contribute to visual design and user experience strategy.
• UI Frameworks: Experience building applications using Material UI (MUI); familiarity with design systems and reusable component libraries.
