About the role

This role supports core enterprise applications that run critical business operations for an enterprise manufacturing organization. The team is looking for a senior-level developer who enjoys working close to the business, maintaining and enhancing long-standing systems, and partnering with stakeholders to keep things running smoothly while modernizing where it makes sense. You will work primarily in an IBM i environment, supporting internally developed applications that touch finance, distribution, inventory, and order processing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and support internal business applications on the IBM i platform
• Write, modify, test, and maintain code following SDLC and internal standards
• Work closely with business users and IT teammates to understand requirements and resolve issues
• Perform system and application analysis to improve performance and reliability
• Stay current on tools, best practices, and opportunities for improvement

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on development experience in an IBM i environment
• Strong experience with:
  • RPG IV, ILE, or free-form RPG
  • CL and embedded SQL
  • DB2 on IBM i
• Advanced SQL skills including joins, grouping, and performance-focused queries
• Experience supporting enterprise business systems such as order entry, inventory, AP, AR, GL, or distribution

Pay

Salary $120k–130k plus strong bonus opportunity.
